To solidly promote the international project construction of the "High-Level Vocational College" of the College and boost the high-quality development of the College, on the morning of April 20, School of Agricultural Engineering of GVTC specially invited Mr. Heri, Director of Indonesia Research Institute for Tea and Cinchona, to hold a special lecture on "Indonesia's Tea Culture and Tea Industry" for our teachers and students. Nearly 200 teachers and students from School of Agricultural Engineering, School of Media and School of Health Care attended the lecture.

The speaker, Mr. Heri, is currently the director of R & D Department of Indonesia Research Institute for Tea and Cinchona, and has made great achievements in the field of plant breeding research. In the lecture, Mr. Heri comprehensively introduced the general situation of tea planting, tea plantation management, tea processing, tea export and Indonesian tea products in Indonesia around the theme of tea culture and tea industry, and fully demonstrated the development status and future development direction of Indonesian tea industry. Indonesia Research Institute for Tea and Cinchona is one of the eight national research institutes in Indonesia and a leader in the field of tea research and education in Indonesia. On January 12 this year, under the premise of mutual benefit and friendly cooperation between our college and Indonesia Research Institute for Tea and Cinchona, we jointly established the Indonesian Silk Road Tea Institute of Guangxi Vocational and Technical College. This lecture is an academic exchange activity between the two sides carried out under the cooperation framework of the construction of Silk Road Tea Institute. It aims to jointly promote the exchange and integration of regional tea education and lay the foundation for the next cooperation of production, education and research projects between the two sides.

During the exchange and interaction session, Enhai CHEN, Dean of School of Agricultural Engineering of GVTC, said that Indonesia Research Institute for Tea and Cinchona is the only national scientific research institution specializing in tea research in Indonesia, with many aspects in tea breeding and tea research that are worth learning and reference. It is hoped that the two sides can have in-depth exchanges and strengthen cooperation in tea breeding, tea processing, tea product research and development and tea technology training, as well as seeking the integration and innovative development of tea industry in the future.
