GVTC Invited Dr. Amnaj of Shizuoka University, Japan to Deliver a Tea Culture Webinar

Based on GVTCs arrangement on the plan to move ahead with High-Level Vocational College tea tree cultivation and tea processing professional group, on the morning of April 14, School of Agriculture and Engineering of GVTC specially invited Dr. Amnaj of School of Management and Information of Shizuoka University in Japan to deliver an online international academic lecture to teachers and students of GVTC.

 

This webinar is one of the serial webinars, "Silk Road Tea Culture Masterclass", which aims to promote the international construction of GVTCs tea tree cultivation and tea processing, help teachers and students of the professional group expand their vision of international tea industry development and grasp the opportunities of future international competition.

 

The topic was "Research on Japanese tea gastronomy and tea tourism". Starting from the concepts of tea tourism, international tea customer marketing and tea and food tourism, Dr. Amnaj focused on the cooperation projects and research results between Shizuoka, Japan and Chiang Rai, Thailand in the field of food tea tourism and the revitalization of tea communities. He then suggested that local tea resources can be used to develop unique tea cuisines and beverages, carry out tea and gourmet experience activities, and formulate gastronomy tea tourism routes, so as to help underdeveloped areas and areas that lack tourism resources to create more employment opportunities related to tea culture and gourmet tourism and promote the sustainable development of tea communities.

 

The webinar was rich in content, academic and instructive, providing teachers and students of the "High-Level Vocational College" tea cultivation and tea processing professional group with in-depth knowledge sharing opportunities in the professional field from an international perspective, which not only improved the students' cognition of tea tourism and international vision, but also broadened the research vision and innovative thinking of tea teachers' innovative team. Expected results were well-achieved.

 

Enhai CHEN, Dean of School of Agriculture and Engineering of GVTC, Zhao Hongmei, Dean of College of International Education of GVTC, and more than 250 students from the School of Agriculture and Engineering , the School of Business, the School of Media, the school of Art and Design attended this special webinar.
