GVTC and IRITC Jointly Held the Tea Series Training Workshop Discuss Meeting

In order to further promote the internationalization project of the Double High-levels Plan Tea Cultivation and Tea Processing major, the School of Agricultural Engineering of Guangxi Vocational and Technical College (GVTC) and Indonesia Research Institute for Tea and Cinchona (RITC) jointly held the Tea Series Training Workshop Discuss Meeting on October 27th after many exchanges and preparations. The main topics of this meeting are the current situation of tea development in the two countries and the discussion on specific issues concerning about the short-term training program on tea culture and tea science and technology, which is to be carried out in the near future.

At the meeting, both sides conducted in-depth discussions and reached a consensus on the theme, curriculum arrangement, certificate issuance and other issues of the short-term online training, and initially planned to conduct three consecutive weeks of the training from the third week of November; the training includes: Tea Product Development and Marketing in China, Tea Plantation Agro Edu Tourism, how to serving and brewing China’s Tea, Precision Farming in China Tea Plantation, the Criteria for Tea Assessment, and the Health Benefit of Tea.

This short-term tea training project is an in-depth cooperation between GVTC and the well-known national tea research institute in Indonesia (RITC) under the cooperative framework of “Silk Road Tea Institute”. Its aim is to provide advanced training in tea culture and tea science and technology for local tea enterprises and tea farmers in Indonesia, and to jointly promote regional tea education, technical mutual learning and people-to-people exchanges.

    The meeting was presided over by CHEN Enhai, the Dean of the School of Agricultural Engineering of GVTC, ZHAO Hongmei, Dean of the School of International Education of GVTC, and teachers of the Double High-levels Plan Tea Cultivation and Tea Processing major of GVTC. Mr.Erdiansyah, Director of RITC, Mr.Henry Syahrian, Director of the Business and Commerce Department of RITC, Ms.Fani, Head of the Division of RITC, and 6 other researchers of RITC also jointly attended the meeting.
