To improve the international vision of our tea teachers and students and effectively propagate tea culture, on December 8th, School of Agriculture and Engineering specially invited Head of Tea and Coffee Institute of Mae Fah Luang University and Agricultural Product Development of Kasetsart University to deliver an online tea culture webinar for the 2021’s tea students from our college.
The topic of this tea culture webinar was “Approaching Tea Industry in Thailand”. Dr. Piyaporn covered the tea industry and tea culture of Thailand in depth from the present situation, types, processing techniques, ingredients, health care effects and the organoleptic evaluation of Thai tea. The webinar gave our teachers and students a great learning opportunity to broaden their international vision, enrich their knowledge and trigger their interest and enthusiasm in professional learning.
The webinar was hosted by Enhai CHEN, Secretary of the General Party Branch and Dean of School of Agriculture and Engineering, and Hongmei ZHAO, Dean of College of International Education. Teachers of Tea Teaching and Research Center also attended this webinar. It was conducted via video conferencing, which served the expected purpose.
